Summary

The professional Talent card in WorkScout — how it differs from Profile, what it includes, and the multi-Talent scenario.

Content

A Talent card is the professional card on Cyprus4People: where you show your role, skills, and availability for work — separate from your person card in People.

Why it exists

A Talent card lets you show your role, skills, experience, and availability for work — as a public card in WorkScout. Recruiters, clients, and collaborators can understand what you do (or what you are looking for) before they reach out: freelancers, employees open to roles, hybrid profiles.

It does not replace community identity: that stays the Profile under Discover → People.

Where to find it

Area WorkScout
Menu / archive Talents · /talents/
Duration Permanent — not a time-limited vacancy

Proof of work (projects, contributions) lives as Activities linked to the card, not as a static portfolio on the form alone.

Profile vs Talent

Profile (People) Talent (WorkScout)
Question it answers Who are you in the community? What do you do professionally?
Archive /profiles/ /talents/
Typical content Name, bio, interests, privacy Profession, skills, Open to work, career
Typical matching I'm here as (plus Topics / Interests) Best for on the Talent card

A member declares their own Talent from the Profile: Settings → Additional profiles → Talent card field (one choice). That means: this is my professional card.

What the card includes

Without listing every form field, a typical card carries:

  • Name and Profession label (the professional title people search for)
  • Open to work — if you want to appear in active scouting (the card stays public even when it is off)
  • Talent type — Employee, Self-Employed, or Both (shows or hides freelance rates vs employee preferences)
  • Area of Expertise and Skills
  • Availability, work modality, intro, and description
  • Career (experience, education, breaks) when you show it
  • Contacts and social
  • Topics, Interests, Best for in Settings

For Topics / Interests / Best for in general: Topics, Interests, and Best for.

Linking to the Profile (your own Talent)

When the Talent card is yours:

  1. Complete the Talent card in WorkScout.
  2. Open your Profile for editing.
  3. In Settings → Additional profiles, in the Talent card field, select that card.

People and WorkScout stay linked without duplicating a CV on the Profile.

Boundaries

It is not… Why
Profile / People Community identity, not a careers card
Jobs A vacancy is temporary; Talent is the permanent professional person card
Business A business / venue showcase, not an individual CV
Doctor A separate clinical path

Managing multiple Talent cards

So far: one Talent of your own, linked to your Profile.

There is also a multi scenario: scouts, agents, recruiters, or desks who maintain many professional cards for other people — often before those people have a Cyprus4People account. On your Profile, Talent card remains a single choice (yours); you manage the other cards separately. When someone wants to take care of their card themselves: they create an account and claim the card that represents them.
