Transthoracic echocardiography uses ultrasound to look at heart structure and function – valves, chambers, and pumping strength – without radiation. This outpatient echo is performed in Limassol and reported in the context of your cardiology care with Dr Elena Michaelides.
It is commonly used for murmurs, breathlessness, known valve disease, or follow-up after treatment changes. You will be asked to uncover the chest; gel and a probe are used on the skin. Findings are explained carefully; copies can go to your GP when you wish.
