Overview

The Lara–Toxeftra coast is a Natura 2000 nesting site. From 1 June to 30 September, umbrellas, sunbeds, tents, and caravans stay off the beach; overnight presence is barred from one hour before sunset until one hour after sunrise. Year-round: keep vehicles, fires, and rubbish off the sand, and leave sand crabs where they are. Shore rod fishing is the only fishing method allowed. Bring what you need on your back, take it all home, and keep well clear of marked nests. Neighbouring listings cover the same protected coast. This is the Peyia / Akamas west coast: limestone headlands, coves, and a mix of organised bays and wilder shore. You typically arrive by car from Paphos; some coves need a track or a boat from Latchi. Summer days are hot on open rock and sand — mornings and late afternoon are kinder. Bring more water than you think, and shade, unless you can see rentals on the day. Check the sea before you swim: west-coast swell can change quickly. Park only where the ground is already used; leave dunes, nests, and marked protection zones alone, and take every scrap of rubbish home.
