Overview

The monastery sits at Anavrysi. This is a Karpaz church stop: a long drive from Agia Napa or Nicosia through village roads. Allow time. Expect a self-sufficient visit — water and shade come with you unless you can see a kiosk on the day. Summer heat is sharp; mornings and late afternoon are kinder. Doors may be locked except feast days. Take every scrap of rubbish with you. Treat it as a working monastery: modest dress is the usual expectation — covered shoulders and knees — and voices stay low inside. Interior photography is often discouraged during services; follow signs and what the community asks on the day. Hours are whatever is posted at the gate. Do not assume a ticket desk or a guaranteed open nave.
